Hello! I am Eve - a wedding photographer based in Blairgowrie, Perthshire. I studied the beautiful craft of photography in Edinburgh and then Communication Design at Gray's School of Art. A very long story cut short-photographing humans in love turned out to be my thing. I've been obsessed with creating timeless photographs for couples and their families for just over 8 years now. It has been truly amazing to be in a world full of love and joy, and so many positive vibes. Scroll down to find more.
Most of the weddings I photograph are celebrated in the Scottish countryside and have a relaxed, romantic and fun vibe. My style of photographing is to capture real and spontaneous moments as they happen. Being able to see those little special moments and feelings that you want to remember, the ones you didn't even know that you wanted to have a photo of until you've seen it, is what I specialise in. I look for the genuine and beauty with substance.
Most of the time I work on my own, but for bigger celebrations I team up with other wedding photographers who will be my sidekick on the day.
I understand that not everyone is keen on having their photo taken. Trust me, I get it. My approach to shooting a wedding is to keep things simple and relaxed. Over-complicating things is not my style. I blend in with people to capture real moments and I love working with natural light (less intrusive!) where possible.
frequently asked questions
Q: WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
A: I'm based in Blairgowrie, Perthshire. I am available for weddings all over Scotland. For full-day weddings, travel within 100 miles return is included, but if your wedding is further than that additional charges may apply depending on travel distance, accommodation expenses, etc.
A: At first, I will e-mail you my booking form to get some basic info. And that's how we get the ball rolling! Another questionnaire is sent to you, four weeks prior to the wedding (for the finer details).
A: For bigger weddings there are a few positives if there is two of us. We can be in different places at the same time, photographing your day from different perspectives and capturing unique moments simultaneously.
A: My second shooters are other wedding photographers with similar style to mine, who I frequently work with and are available to cover your date.
A: I select the best photographs from the day, edit them individually in my signature style, create a photo-story and ensure that each photo that goes into your album is the best it can be and tells a story. I don't keep photos for myself. If the photo is good - it gets included in the final batch! For my full-day weddings, the minimum you will get is 600+ photographs.
A: With my full-day collections you'll get your high res ready to print files on USB, Wooden USB box + selection of prints and in addition all files will be uploaded to a private online gallery, with options to view, share with friends and family and download.
A: My aim is to hit the 4-6 week mark in the Spring and Winter, but during peak season (April – October), my turnaround time is usually 10 weeks.
A: Of course.
A: Please don't worry about this. Very few people like their picture taken, but my job is to make you feel at ease in front of the camera and remember, I'm only trying to take the most flattering photos of you, the ones that you'll be proud to show to your friends and family!
A: The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through different printing vendors, so I encourage clients to let me help with printing photos.
A: A booking fee of £500 and signed T&C's is required in order to get your date in my calendar. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the big day.
A: It's not necessary. In general, I prefer the element of surprise as it is good for creativity. Where I take photos on the day is also light and weather dependent.
