Kirstie and Dean’s wedding in the Scottish Borders was everything that a romantic wedding should be. Their wedding day was filled with sentimental and fun moments worth capturing all day long.  And there was even a monumental appearance of their super cute dog Woody! The whole day was embraced by the kinda moments that make you stop for a minute in this crazy busy world,  and think about the value of marriage, family and the true meaning of love.[su_spacer size=”10″]

Since they had put a lot of thought into organising a wedding that had a very DIY family feel, Kirstie and Dean’s wedding was an absolute favourite to me.  Forget about saving money when it comes to wedding suppliers, this was a chance for them to show their creativity.  It was also all about having your friends and family involved and personally contributing to such an exceptional, one off event: this included different bits and pieces from Kirstie’s make-up and hair during the morning prep to the Ceilidh music at night (an excellent entertainment provided by the bride’s talented uncle, auntie and cousin) .[su_spacer size=”10″]

One of the loveliest moments on the day was when Dean became quite emotional seeing Kirstie walking down the aisle and standing next to him gracefully in her stunning white wedding gown and veil:  a moment that later on cost him lots of jokes from his best men about ’being a softie’! I’d definitely say that was a truly romantic moment![su_spacer size=”10″]

The somewhat gloomy weather predictions for rain and thunderstorms made us change the initial plan for romantic photos,  and to save time in travelling we decided to use the beautiful surroundings and countryside theme near  St Mary of Wedale Church in Stow (where their ceremony was held too). A decision that was well worth it! Kirstie’s bohemian inspired bouquet complemented her elegant looks on the day and we truly made the most of their romantic session![su_spacer size=”10″]
